OurDream's homepage invites you to "sign up for free today," and the menu says "Join Free."[1] That part is true: making an account costs nothing. What you can do with it for free is another matter. If you searched is OurDream AI free, here's the exact answer from OurDream's own help center, plus the only legitimate ways to get free coins.
Free to join, not free to use. Free accounts pay 1 dreamcoin per chat message and "will not have access to the majority" of features. Images and videos need a subscription, and so does buying coins. There's no free trial that we could find. The only official free coins come from referrals. Paid plans cost $19.99 a month or $119.88 a year, with 1,000 dreamcoins a month and unlimited chat.

What a free OurDream AI account gets
OurDream's coin rate card is blunt: free users chat at 1 dreamcoin per message, and "every chat will cost 1 coin each, and you will not have access to the majority of these features."[2] Subscribers chat for 0 coins.
The catch is where a free user's coins would come from. The help center says you need an active subscription to buy dreamcoins,[4] so a free account can't simply top up. The rate card lists four ways coins arrive: direct purchase, contests and events, referral codes, and gifting.[2] Without a subscription, that leaves the last three.
We haven't confirmed whether a brand-new free account starts with any coins. Unverified We'll check with a fresh account and report the number, rather than guess.
Two features are clearly paid-only:
- Images and videos: "You need a subscription to generate images and videos."[3]
- Buying coins: "You currently need an active subscription to purchase dreamcoins."[4]
OurDream AI free vs paid
| Feature | Free account | Subscriber |
|---|---|---|
| Sign up and browse characters | Yes | Yes |
| Chat messages | 1 dreamcoin each | Unlimited, 0 coins |
| Image and video generation | No | Yes, paid in coins |
| Monthly dreamcoins | None | 1,000 a month (annual: 2,000 up front) |
| Buy extra coins | No | Yes |
| Most other features | "Not have access to the majority" | Yes |
Paid plans include unlimited messages with any character, image and video generation, and 1,000 dreamcoins a month. The yearly plan adds a 1,000-coin bonus when you first subscribe.[1][10] Our OurDream AI review has the full rate card: 10 coins per 2 standard images, 50 a minute for voice calls, 100 per 5 seconds of video.
Does OurDream AI have a free trial?
We found none. Neither the homepage pricing FAQ nor the help-center articles on subscriptions mention a free trial as of October 7, 2026.[1][10] "OurDream AI free trial" pages elsewhere usually mean the free account described above.
The nearest thing is one paid month at $19.99. If you try it, keep the refund rules in mind: OurDream refuses refunds once more than 25% of a purchase is used, and crypto payments are never refunded.[11] Treat the first month as a paid test, not a trial.
How to get free OurDream coins
OurDream's own answers have changed over time, so here are both, with dates:
- Referrals (current): the community-written FAQ, edited August 3, 2026, says "the only way to receive free Dreamcoins is through referrals. Share your referral code; if someone uses it when signing up, you receive bonus coins."[6] The bonus amount isn't stated there. Unverified
- Discord events (older article): a help article edited August 25, 2025 says OurDream doesn't "currently offer free dreamcoins," but that its Discord "often" offers free coins and runs competitions with coin prizes.[5] The rate card also lists "contests & events" and "gifting" as coin sources.[2]
What we haven't found: any official daily login bonus or "free coins" generator. Sites promising unlimited free OurDream coins aren't OurDream, and they often want your login. Don't give it to them.
Looking for a discount instead of free coins? Our OurDream AI promo codes page lists only codes and offers we could verify.
"OurDream AI free APK" and mod apps
Searches like "ourdream ai free apk" are common, so it's worth being precise: OurDream doesn't publish an app. Its help center says there's no standalone mobile app and tells you to add ourdream.ai to your home screen from Safari or Chrome instead.[8] Any APK file is from someone else.
Apps promising "free premium" also break OurDream's terms, which ban attempts to "evade any technological measure designed to protect the Services" and to "reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile" them.[9] An unofficial APK for a web service has no legitimate way to unlock paid features on OurDream's servers. Often the APK itself is the payload. We don't link to any.
What stays free after you cancel
If you subscribe and later cancel, you drop to the free tier. According to the help center (edited February 20, 2026):[7]
- Images and videos you made are blurred until you subscribe again, including community packs.
- You can't buy coins.
- "Coins do not expire!" Leftover coins stay, and as a free user you'd spend them at 1 per message.
An older cancellation article contradicts the last point; we cover the conflict in our OurDream review. Spend your coins before cancelling to be safe.
The cheapest way to pay for OurDream AI
| Plan | Charged | Coins | 12-month cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Annual | $119.88 once ($9.99/mo) | 2,000 up front, then 1,000 a month | $119.88 |
| Monthly | $19.99 a month | 1,000 a month | $239.88 |
Annual costs half as much over a year. Monthly makes sense only as a one-month test. The "$9.99 a month" annual price is billed as a single $119.88 payment.[10]
Is OurDream AI worth paying for?
If you want images, video and voice with your chat, and you'll pay yearly, OurDream gives more media credit than most rivals: about 13,000 coins in the first year for $119.88. If you only want text chat, it's not the cheapest. Candy AI's annual plan is $47.88 (see our Candy AI pricing guide). Our OurDream AI review scores it a provisional 5.8/10, with the strict refund rule and a privacy claim we couldn't reconcile with its policy as the main drawbacks.
Freer alternatives to OurDream AI
No adult companion app we've checked is unlimited and free, but some let you do more before paying:
- GirlfriendGPT offers 20 free messages on its plan page.[12]
- Candy AI gives free users up to 5 messages, one custom character and one image. See Is Candy AI free?
- Joi AI has a free "Basic" tier, though adult messages cost Neurons.[13]
- Janitor AI is free to chat with its own model, JLLM,[14] but has no image or video generation. See our Janitor AI alternatives.

We haven't yet logged what a new free account sees, how many coins it starts with, or the referral bonus. We'll add dated screenshots after testing.
Frequently asked questions
Is ourdream.ai free to use?
Signing up is free; using it mostly isn't. OurDream's help center says free users pay 1 dreamcoin per chat message and don't get most features. Image and video generation need a subscription, and you can't buy coins without one. Paid plans cost $19.99 a month or $119.88 a year.
Does OurDream AI have a free trial?
We found no free trial in OurDream's help center or on its homepage on Oct 7, 2026. The cheapest way to test it is one month at $19.99, cancelled before renewal.
How do I get free coins on OurDream AI?
OurDream's community FAQ (edited Aug 3, 2026) says "the only way to receive free Dreamcoins is through referrals": if someone signs up with your referral code, you get bonus coins. An older help article (Aug 2025) also points to coin prizes in OurDream's Discord. Its coin rate card lists purchases, contests and events, referral codes and gifting as the ways coins arrive.
How many free coins do you get for a referral?
OurDream's help center doesn't state the referral bonus amount in the articles we read. We'll add it once confirmed.
Is there an OurDream AI free APK?
No. OurDream says it has no standalone mobile app; you add ourdream.ai to your home screen instead. Any "OurDream AI APK" or "free premium APK" is not from OurDream, and its terms ban evading the service's technical protections.
What happens to my images if I stop paying?
They're blurred. OurDream's help center says that when a subscription expires, images, videos and community packs are blurred until you subscribe again, and you drop back to free-tier perks. Coins you already hold don't expire, according to the same article.
Is OurDream AI worth it?
If you want images, video and voice and you'll pay yearly, it's one of the better-equipped options: $119.88 a year with 1,000 dreamcoins a month plus a 1,000-coin bonus. If you only want to chat, cheaper annual plans exist, such as Candy AI at $47.88.
