SpicyChat built its audience on a simple promise: unfiltered character chat, free. That promise mostly holds. What changed in September 2026 is the price of everything above free, and that's where this SpicyChat AI review spends its time, along with two clauses in the fine print most users never open.
Generous free tier, pricier upgrades, a content licence to read first
SpicyChat's free tier is one of the most usable in adult character chat, and its operator and billing name are disclosed. But paid tiers rose up to 33% in September 2026, refunds close after 24 hours, and the terms claim a perpetual, sellable licence to your chats.
You want free, unlimited adult roleplay with community characters and can live with ads, queues and short memory.
You care who can reuse your chats, need long memory without paying $29.95 a month, or want built-in image and voice on a budget.
Provisional score, based on SpicyChat's own pricing page, docs, help center, terms, refund policy and privacy policy, plus public reviews, all checked Oct 7, 2026. Hands-on testing is pending.
What SpicyChat is, and who runs it
SpicyChat (spicychat.ai) is an adult AI character-chat platform. Users create chatbots or pick from a large public library, and chat with them in one-on-one or group chats. Its documentation says the paid tiers fund the platform while "the core features remain accessible to everyone, free of charge," and positions it against platforms that "retreat behind content moderation."[1]
The terms (updated July 23, 2026) say SpicyChat is "owned and operated by NextDay AI Incorporated (based in Montreal, Qc, Canada)," with subsidiaries NextDay AI USA Inc (Delaware) and NextDay AI EU Ltd (Limassol, Cyprus).[2] Quebec law governs the agreement, and disputes go to individual binding arbitration under the ADR Institute of Canada's rules, with a class-action waiver.[2] On Android, SpicyChat sells subscriptions through a companion app called PixelChat.[5]
How we reviewed SpicyChat
On October 7, 2026 we read SpicyChat's live pricing page, its September 2026 pricing FAQ, its premium-features and context documentation, its help-center articles on payments, refunds, cancelling and deleting accounts, its Terms and Conditions, refund policy and privacy policy. We then checked its Trustpilot profile. Every claim below links to its source.
We haven't yet subscribed and logged a test month. We'll add screenshots of checkout, response quality per tier, queue times and a real cancellation after testing, with no invented results in the meantime.
SpicyChat pricing after the September 2026 price rise
SpicyChat raised prices on September 8, 2026. Its FAQ says it was "purely a price change," with every tier keeping the same features.[3]
| Tier | Monthly (was) | Monthly (now) | Annual (now) | Annual per month | 12 months on monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Get A Taste | $5.00 | $5.95 | $60.00 | $5.00 | $71.40 |
| True Supporter | $14.95 | $19.95 | $199.95 | $16.66 | $239.40 |
| I'm All In | $24.95 | $29.95 | $299.95 | $25.00 | $359.40 |
UK prices are £4.95, £16.95 and £25.95 a month, or £50, £169.95 and £259.95 a year.[3]
One genuinely user-friendly policy: if you subscribed before September 8, you keep your old price as long as your plan stays active and unchanged. But any change, including upgrading, downgrading or switching between monthly and annual, moves you to the new prices, and a lapsed subscription can't get the old price back.[3] If you're on an old price, don't let a failed card payment expire your plan; SpicyChat says it retries a few times and asks you to contact support quickly.[3]
What SpicyChat's free tier actually gets you
The pricing page's comparison table marks unlimited messages and unlimited character creation as free features.[4] The limits are elsewhere:
- Memory: free users get up to 4,096 tokens of context. SpicyChat's own example says that with a 1,000-token character, the AI "may only keep around 20 recent messages visible."[6]
- Ads and queues: "No Ads" and "Skip The Waiting Lines" are listed as paid features, so free users get both.[4]
- Reply length: the default maximum response is 180 tokens; True Supporter raises it to 300.[7]
Which SpicyChat tier is worth it?
| Feature | Free | Get A Taste | True Supporter | I'm All In |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Context (memory) | 4K | 4K | 8K | Up to 32K (model-dependent) |
| Ads / waiting lines | Yes | No | No | No; priority queue |
| Memory Manager | No | Yes | Yes + Semantic Memory 2.0 | Yes + Semantic Memory 2.0 |
| In-chat images | No | No | Yes | Yes, incl. private bots |
| Voice (text-to-speech) | No | No | No | Yes |
| Models | Default | Default | Additional models | All, incl. SpicyXL |
| Personas | Not stated | 10 | 50 | 100 |
Get A Taste mostly removes ads and queues; memory stays at 4K. True Supporter is the first tier that changes how chats feel, doubling memory and adding images, but it's now $19.95 a month. I'm All In is the only tier with long memory and voice. For most people the honest choice is free or True Supporter yearly ($199.95). Note that 32K memory depends on the model: SpicyChat says you get "whichever is lower" of your tier's limit and the model's.[6]
Billing: what is the NDAI.CC charge?
SpicyChat's help center says your bank statement "will show NDAI.CC, short for NextDay AI, our parent company."[5] On the website it takes Visa, Mastercard and Discover (including prepaid cards), plus Pay by Bank and cryptocurrency, which are one-time payments that don't auto-renew. Regional methods vary at checkout, and Android users can subscribe through PixelChat on Google Play.[5] Discount codes go in the "Apply Coupon" box at checkout, and SpicyChat says expired offers can't be reapplied.[5]
SpicyChat refunds and how to cancel
Refunds
Two documents, two tones. The formal refund policy (last updated July 31, 2024) says fees "are non-refundable once the Login details have been used," with no refunds for partial months.[8] The newer help-center article (modified in September) is friendlier:[9]
| How you paid | Refund rule |
|---|---|
| Card, directly on SpicyChat | Refund if requested within 24 hours, with minimal usage, and you're not satisfied |
| Crypto or other one-time local methods | Non-refundable |
| Google Play, SubscribeStar, Boosty, Apple | That platform's policy applies; request it from them |
How to cancel
- Sign in on the website, go to your profile and select Manage Subscription, then cancel.[10]
- You keep access until the end of the paid period; the account then returns to free. Nothing is deleted.
- No cancel button? You made a one-time payment and nothing will renew. Bought through Google Play or SubscribeStar? Cancel there.
- Wait for the confirmation. SpicyChat says if you don't get one, the cancellation may not have completed.[10]
Deleting your account (Profile → Advanced → Remove Account) cancels website subscriptions automatically, but not Google Play, SubscribeStar or Boosty ones, which "will keep billing you after your account is gone."[11]
Privacy and what happens to your chats
This is the weakest part of SpicyChat's paperwork. The terms say that by using the service you grant SpicyChat the right to use your chatbot "and Generations and Chats from that Chatbot in any way, including copying, displaying, selling, distributing, and modifying it," under a licence that is "perpetual, and irrevocable." A separate clause adds that SpicyChat may "share, sell this permission with others we have contracts with."[2] The terms also say SpicyChat "does NOT own" your chats, but the licence is broad enough that ownership matters little in practice.
- The privacy policy is marked "Last updated: May 04, 2023," older than the current product, payment methods and companion app.[12]
- It allows sharing with service providers, affiliates including the parent company, and "business partners" to offer you products or promotions.[12]
- It says the service doesn't address anyone under 18, and lets you delete or request deletion of your data.[12]

What SpicyChat users report
- Trustpilot: 2.1 out of 5 from 61 reviews on Oct 7, 2026, with 52% one-star. The profile is unclaimed and Trustpilot notes the company hasn't invited reviews, "so reviews may not be representative."[13] Recent reviews complain about paywalls appearing early and about reply quality on a paid plan.
- One 2024 Trustpilot reviewer claimed responses are "guided by real people." We found no evidence for this and SpicyChat's documents don't say so; we report it only as an unverified allegation.[13]
- Reddit: SpicyChat has an active community (linked from its own footer). We'll summarise specific threads with links after reviewing them in full.

Frequently asked questions
Is SpicyChat free?
Yes. The pricing page lists unlimited messages and unlimited character creation on the free tier, with ads, waiting lines and a 4,096-token context window. Paid tiers start at $5.95 a month.
How much does SpicyChat cost in 2026?
Since Sept 8, 2026: Get A Taste $5.95/month or $60/year, True Supporter $19.95/month or $199.95/year, and I'm All In $29.95/month or $299.95/year. Subscribers who signed up earlier keep their old price while their plan stays active and unchanged.
What is the NDAI.CC charge on my card?
SpicyChat's help center says bank statements show NDAI.CC, short for NextDay AI, its parent company. If you don't recognise it, check for a SpicyChat or PixelChat account under your email first.
Can I get a refund from SpicyChat?
Its help center says card purchases can be refunded if you ask within 24 hours, with minimal usage, and are unhappy with the product. Crypto and other one-time payments are non-refundable, and Google Play or SubscribeStar purchases follow those platforms' rules.
Is SpicyChat safe?
It is run by a named company and publishes terms, a refund policy and a privacy policy. But the terms give SpicyChat a perpetual, irrevocable licence to your chats and generations, including the right to sell that licence, and the privacy policy is dated 2023. Don't share anything identifying.
How do I cancel SpicyChat?
On the website, go to your profile and select Manage Subscription, then cancel. You keep access until the end of the paid period. If there is no cancel button, you paid once (for example by crypto) and there is nothing to cancel. App-store and SubscribeStar plans must be cancelled there.
