Cancelling Candy AI takes about a minute once you know where the button is. Getting money back is a different matter: the refund window is measured in hours, not weeks. This guide covers both, using Candy AI's own Terms of Service and help center, and flags the one place where those two documents contradict each other.
To cancel: log in, go to My Profile → Settings, scroll to your subscription details and click Unsubscribe. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for and won't be charged again.
To get a refund: you must ask within 24 hours of the payment, have paid by card, and have used 20 tokens or fewer. EU and UK residents get 14 days on their first purchase, minus a prorated amount for what they used.

How do I cancel my Candy AI subscription?
Candy AI's help center gives these steps for the website, and the Terms of Service describe the same route ("Settings / Unsubscribe within your account"):[1][2]
- Log in to your Candy.ai account.
- Open the My Profile menu.
- Click Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom, where your subscription details and an Unsubscribe button appear.
- Click Unsubscribe and follow any prompts to confirm.
Before you click, write down the start and end dates shown in the same Settings panel. The terms say all subscription details, including start date, end date and plan type, are listed there.[1] After confirming, keep the confirmation email or take a screenshot. If a charge appears later, that's your evidence.
Candy AI's "Get App" prompt adds the website to your home screen rather than installing a store app, so most subscriptions are billed by Candy AI (as "EverAI") and cancelled in Settings. If your receipt came from the App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's subscription settings instead. To verify We haven't confirmed whether an official store app currently exists.
What if there's no Unsubscribe button?
This happens. In a public comment under Candy AI's cancellation article, one user wrote in February 2026 that on their phone's browser the Settings page showed only "Delete Account" and no Unsubscribe button, so they deleted the account instead.[2] We haven't reproduced this ourselves.
Try these in order before deleting anything:
- Switch to a desktop browser, or request the desktop site on your phone, and reload Settings.
- Check you're signed in to the right account. If you used Google sign-in once and email another time, you may have two accounts, and only one holds the subscription.
- Email [email protected], the address in Candy AI's terms, and ask them to cancel. Include your account email and the last four digits of the card.[1]
As a last resort, deleting the account also cancels the subscription (see below), but you lose everything on it.
What happens after you cancel?
The terms say your subscription "will remain active until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged for the subsequent period." When the period ends, the account reverts to the free version, which allows only about five messages.[1]
| Item | After you cancel | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Premium access | Continues to the end of the paid period | Terms §10.1 |
| Next renewal charge | Not taken | Terms §10.1 |
| Chats, images, characters | Stay on the account while it exists | Help Center (Aug 25, 2026) |
| Unused tokens | Conflicting: terms say they expire; help center says they're kept | Terms §10.2 vs. Help Center |
| Refund for unused time | None, outside the 24-hour / EU-UK rules | Terms §10.4 |
Section 10.2 of the terms says that when a subscription ends, "any remaining tokens in your account will expire and become unusable" and "will not carry over or be refunded."[1] A help-center article updated on August 25, 2026 says the opposite: "Canceling your subscription does NOT delete your tokens," and your balance returns when you resubscribe.[3] The terms are the binding document, so the safe move is to spend your tokens before the period ends.
Can you get a refund from Candy AI?
Sometimes, but the conditions are narrow. Section 10.4 of the terms sets three separate rules:[1]
| Purchase | Deadline | Refused if… |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription | 24 hours after payment | More than 20 tokens used; paid by a method other than card; "technical issue on the user's side" |
| Token pack | 24 hours after payment | Any of the tokens used; not paid by card. Purchases made in error carry "no guarantee" unless the error was Candy AI's |
| EU / UK residents | 14 days from the purchase confirmation email | It's a renewal (first purchase only). Refund is reduced by a prorated amount for service used |
Two consequences are worth spelling out. First, renewals are effectively non-refundable unless you catch them within 24 hours: the EU/UK 14-day right "does not apply to any renewal periods." Second, crypto payments can't be refunded under the general rules, because only card purchases qualify.[1] There's also no refund for content removed or accounts restricted for breaking Candy AI's policies.[1]
How to ask Candy AI for a refund
Candy AI's refund help article restates the 24-hour, 20-token, card-only rule and points to section 10.4, but doesn't describe a refund form.[4] The terms name [email protected], including for EU/UK withdrawals.[1] A request that's easy to approve includes:
- The email address on your Candy AI account.
- The date, time and amount of the charge, and the last four digits of the card.
- A plain statement: "I request a refund under section 10.4 of your Terms of Service," or for EU/UK residents, "I withdraw from this contract under section 10.4.3."
- Confirmation that you've used 20 tokens or fewer, if true.
Send it inside the window. For EU/UK withdrawals, the terms say it's enough to send your message before the 14 days run out, and that Candy AI will reimburse within 14 days of being told.[1]
Expect to follow up. Under the refund help article, several users have posted that their requests went unanswered. One wrote in November 2025 that almost 24 hours had passed without a reply, and another in March 2026 asked Candy AI to "actually respond to the refund request."[4] On PissedConsumer, where Candy AI averages 1.7 out of 5 from 17 reviews, refund delays are a recurring theme.[5] These are individual reports we can't verify, but they're a good reason to send your request early and keep copies.
Still charged by "EverAI" after cancelling?
Candy AI says its charges appear on bank statements as "EverAI." EverAI Limited is the Malta company (registration C107181) that owns and operates candy.ai.[6][1] If you see one after cancelling, check these first:
- Is it the last charge of a period you'd already started? Cancelling stops the next renewal, not the current one.
- Did a backup card get billed? Candy AI's terms let it charge a saved backup payment method if your main one fails at renewal.[1]
- Was it a token pack? Token purchases are separate from the subscription.
If none of those explains it, email [email protected]. Candy AI's help center asks for the account email and the last four digits of the card used.[7]
Only go to your bank if support doesn't fix it, and know the cost: under section 10.2, filing a chargeback immediately cancels the purchase and revokes all premium access and remaining tokens.[1] For an unauthorised charge that may be a price worth paying. For a renewal you simply forgot about, a support request inside 24 hours is the better route.
For more on the billing name, see the "EverAI charge" section of our Candy AI review.
Does deleting your Candy AI account cancel it?
Yes. Candy AI's help center (updated Oct 1, 2026) says deleting an account before the renewal or anniversary date "will automatically cancel any active subscription as well."[7] To delete: My Profile → Settings → "Danger Zone" → Delete Account, then confirm.[8]
Deletion is permanent. Your preferences, usage history and personal information become "permanently unavailable," though Candy AI keeps some data for legally required periods.[8] Its privacy notice says account data is generally kept for three years after your last activity and payment records for ten.[9] Deleted conversations can't be recovered.[10]
Our advice: unsubscribe first, use up whatever you've paid for, and delete only when you're sure you won't return.
Leaving Candy AI? Before you pay elsewhere
Most apps in this category are just as strict about refunds. Before switching, read the refund clause of the next app as carefully as you read this one. Our Candy AI alternatives guide compares refund rules side by side, and Is Candy AI free? explains what a free account can still do after you cancel.
Frequently asked questions
How do I cancel my Candy AI subscription?
Log in, open My Profile, click Settings, scroll to your subscription details at the bottom and click Unsubscribe, then confirm. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period and you will not be charged for the next one.
Can I get a refund from Candy AI?
Only if you ask within 24 hours of payment, paid by card, and have used 20 tokens or fewer. Token packs are refundable within 24 hours only if the tokens are unused. EU and UK residents can withdraw within 14 days of their first purchase, minus a prorated amount for what they used.
Does deleting my Candy AI account cancel the subscription?
Yes, according to Candy AI's help center: deleting an account before the renewal date automatically cancels any active subscription. Deleting is permanent, though, so use Unsubscribe if you might come back.
What happens to my tokens when I cancel Candy AI?
Candy AI's own documents disagree. The Terms of Service say remaining tokens expire when the billing period ends. A help-center article updated Aug 25, 2026 says cancelling does not delete your tokens and they return when you resubscribe. Spend tokens before your period ends to be safe.
Why am I still being charged by EverAI after cancelling?
EverAI Limited is the Malta company that runs Candy AI, and its charges appear as "EverAI." If you were charged after cancelling or deleting your account, email [email protected] with your account email and the last four digits of the card, as the help center asks.
Should I file a chargeback against Candy AI?
Contact support first. Under the terms, a chargeback immediately cancels your subscription and revokes premium access and any remaining tokens. If support does not resolve an unauthorised charge, your bank remains an option.
