SpicyChat's own FAQ sets out the change, which "took effect on September 8, 2026":[1]

Existing subscribers keep their old price "as long as you keep it active and don't change plans." Downgrading counts as a change, and so does letting a cancelled plan fully expire.[1] SpicyChat says "this was purely a price change," so no features were removed.[1] If you're on an old price and happy, think twice before cancelling.

Get A Taste removes ads and adds 4K context memory, a memory manager and up to 10 personas. True Supporter adds 8K memory, "Semantic Memory 2.0," longer replies, unlimited in-chat images and more models. I'm All In adds 32K memory, SpicyChat's best models, priority queue and text-to-speech.[2][3] Skipping the waiting lines is listed as a paid perk, so free users can face queues.[2]
Other common complaints
- Refunds: fees "are non-refundable once the Login details have been used," with no refunds for partial months. Crypto and Boosty payments can't be refunded.[4]
- Moderation: SpicyChat's Trustpilot score was 2.1 from 61 reviews on October 7, 2026. Recent complaints describe automated moderation with "no way to escalate to a real person" (August 2026) and a rule a user says SpicyChat admitted wasn't in its published guidelines (September 2026). Not really an alternative: GirlfriendGPT
GirlfriendGPT often appears on SpicyChat-alternative lists, but it's run by the same company. Before you switch from SpicyChat
- Check your current price. If you subscribed before September 8, 2026, your old rate stays locked while the plan is active and unchanged. Cancelling and letting it expire loses it for good.[1]
- Cancel properly. Existing subscribers manage plans from their profile → Manage Subscription.[1] You keep benefits until the end of the billing cycle.[2]
