Candy AI sells itself as an AI girlfriend app "with Pics, Voice, & Video."[1] If you searched Candy AI video or Candy AI image generator, you want to know what it can make, what it costs, and what the limits are. This guide pulls together everything Candy's help center says about its media features, as of Oct 7, 2026. Where Candy doesn't publish a number, we say so.

Short answer

Candy makes NSFW images and short videos, paid in tokens. Free accounts get 1 image. Paid plans include 100 tokens a month for images, video, voice and more. Video comes from converting a chat image, preset "Build Your Video" scenes, Candy Roulette video chat (5 tokens a minute) and Live Action on mobile. Candy doesn't publish the per-image token cost.

The Candy AI image generator

You can generate images two ways: from the image generator, or by asking in chat with prompts like "show me" or "send me."[2] Images cost tokens.[3] Free users can generate exactly one image, "either via the image generator or directly in chat."[4] Paid users get 100 tokens a month to spend on "image generation, video generation, creating custom AIs, and more."[5]

Two settings control how fast images use your tokens:

  • Image Generation Toggle. On by default for Premium users. Turning it off stops your AI sending images, and "it won't use any tokens while image mode is disabled."[2] It's in the Ask button menu on desktop and mobile.
  • Proactive media. Characters in "Realistic" mode send photos, voice notes and videos "at random times." You can turn this off with the toggles beside the gift icon in the chat window.[6] Whether proactive media uses tokens isn't stated. Unverified

Candy's character builder, "Create My AI," was updated to "V2" with better "image quality, realism, and consistency." V2 characters are currently available in three ethnicities, Caucasian, Asian and Latina; Candy says Arab and Black/Afro options are "still in development."[7]

Every way to get video on Candy AI

Candy's video features have grown in 2026, and its help center hasn't fully caught up. A March 2026 article says Candy "does not support direct video generation from scratch": you generate an image first, then convert it into "simple, animated sequences" that "are not full-scale animations."[8] Newer articles from August to October 2026 describe more:

Candy warns that with Build Your Video "the final result may vary from the selected options."[9] Some video features are "still in beta testing and may not yet be available for all characters or accounts."[14]

What images and video cost in tokens

This is the big gap. Candy lists what tokens are used for (images, custom AIs, voice messages, voice calls, My Private Content packs and image-to-video),[3] but its public help pages don't give a per-image or per-video token cost. A user asked "What can i do with 100 tokens? how many picture of video's?" in the comments on that article; we saw no answer from Candy.[3] Candy points you to candy.ai/tokens to buy more,[15] and that page requires a login (checked Oct 7, 2026).

What Candy does publish:

  • Candy Roulette: 5 tokens per minute,[11] so 100 monthly tokens would cover 20 minutes and nothing else.
  • Exclusive Characters: unlocked "for a set number of tokens (e.g., 200 tokens)," usually with a private pack of "SFW and NSFW images and videos."[16]
  • Token value: Candy's referral article calls 200 tokens "a $20 value,"[17] which is $0.10 a token by Candy's own figure. That's its valuation, not a confirmed pack price. Unverified
  • Premium Plus includes more tokens (330, per our pricing guide), but its price isn't public.

NSFW images: what's allowed

Candy's image tips article says users "may also generate adult/NSFW content that complies with our Community Guidelines."[18] Moderation still applies. Getting better results from the generator

Candy's own tips:[18]

  • Be descriptive and specific, for example "a person standing with their back facing the camera, looking straight ahead."
  • Include the purpose or scene, such as "seated on your couch watching Netflix."
  • Name the pose clearly.
  • Simplify if complex prompts fail. Candy admits keeping "exact hair color or clothing" consistent "might be challenging" and may take repeated attempts, each of which costs tokens.

Saving and sharing what you make

To save a video on desktop, right-click it and choose "Save video as." On a phone, tap and hold for 2 to 3 seconds, then "Download video."[20] Candy notes download permissions may depend on "Premium feature availability."[20]

Sharing is limited. Candy "prohibits the commercial use of any content generated on its platform." You may post your own Create My AI images to unmonetized personal social media, but not content made with characters featured on Explore or the homepage.[21] By contrast, OurDream's help center allows commercial use of images and videos you generate yourself.
