That makes it easy to budget, and it also makes the expensive parts easy to see. This Secrets AI review covers what you'll pay, what the currency buys, and what the legal documents say when you want out.
Transparent pricing, decent free tier, strict refunds and one privacy claim to ignore
Secrets AI publishes more pricing detail than almost any rival and gives free users 20 messages a day. But monthly Moments expire at renewal, video eats the allowance fast, refunds are close to non-existent, and the homepage's 'end-to-end encryption' line isn't what its privacy policy describes.

What Secrets AI is, and who runs it
Secrets AI (secrets.ai) is an 18+ companion and roleplay platform: you chat with realistic or anime companions, request photos and videos of them, call them by voice, and build your own characters. A per-chat "Spice Level" (Mild, Medium, Spicy) sets how explicit things get.[1] It runs in the browser and can be installed as a web app; Secrets says it isn't on the App Store or Google Play and that any store listing is unaffiliated.[1]
The operator is Secret Labs Inc. Its terms describe it as "a corporation registered in both Canada and the United States," and its official documentation gives an address at 8 The Green Ste D, Dover, Delaware.[2][1] The terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and require individual arbitration, with class-action and jury-trial waivers.[2] Secrets says it launched in 2025.[1]
We found a lookalike site, secretes-ai.com (note the extra "e"), publishing different terms in the name of "Secrets AI Ltd." in Lisbon. That isn't the company named on secrets.ai. The official site is www.secrets.ai.
How we reviewed Secrets AI
On October 7, 2026 we read Secrets AI's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy (all last updated April 10, 2026), its official product summary (updated September 8, 2026), and its help wiki articles on tiers, Moments, payments and cancelling. We then looked at public user reports on Reddit and independent review sites. Every claim links to its source.
We haven't yet paid for a plan. When we do, we'll add screenshots of checkout, the statement descriptor, real Moments balances after images, video and calls, and a cancellation. Until then, we report only what Secrets publishes and what users say in public.

Annual Premium costs less than half of 12 months on the monthly plan ($239.88, our arithmetic). Secrets also mentions three- and six-month plans, without listing prices in the documents we read. Unverified Ultimate adds group chats, personas, proactive messages, deeper memory and a 15% bonus on top-ups (10% on Premium).[1][3]
Payment options are cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover; no Amex), Google Pay and Apple Pay, crypto with a $20 minimum, and prepaid keys on G2A as a fallback.[1] Secrets promises at least 30 days' notice of price increases, applied at your next renewal.[2]

Two rules shape the real cost. Monthly grants reset on each renewal and don't roll over, while purchased top-up Moments never expire.[1] Top-up packs run from $9.99 for 3,000 Moments to $249.99 for 120,000, and only subscribers can buy them.[1] Failed generations are refunded automatically, and clearly broken images can be reported for a Moments refund.[4]
The takeaway: Premium's 8,000 Moments are generous for images and calls, and thin for video.
Is Secrets AI free?
More than most. Guests can send 5 messages before creating an account. Free accounts get 20 messages a day, 200 signup Moments, one free custom character, and can pay for images and calls with Moments, but can't buy more Moments or generate video.[1][3] A few small one-off bonuses exist, such as 100 Moments for joining Secrets' Discord.[1]
Is Secrets AI safe and legit?
Legit: yes. A named company runs it, it publishes 15 policies including an underage policy and a 2257 exemption statement, and it documents its product in detail.[1] We found no regulator or court calling it a scam.
Safe for your data: read the policy, not the homepage.
Secrets AI's homepage advertises "Judgement-free conversations protected with end-to-end encryption."[5] The privacy policy describes "AES-256 encryption applied to all stored personal data and content" and "TLS 1.2 or higher" in transit, with role-based internal access controls.[6] That's solid server-side security, but it isn't end-to-end encryption: the company can access the data. Secrets' own FAQ says only that connections are "encrypted in transit."[5]
- Training: the privacy policy lists "train and improve our AI models" under service improvement.[6]
- Deletion: on permanent account deletion, personal information and chat history are "deleted immediately"; transaction records are kept for seven years and security logs up to 12 months.[6] That's better than many rivals.
- Voice: Secrets says call audio is transcribed in real time and immediately deleted.[1]
- Real people: characters based on real individuals are prohibited and deleted.[1]
What is the "S LABS INC" charge?
It's Secrets AI. The privacy policy states: "Charges will appear on your statement as S LABS INC."[6] Card numbers are handled by a PCI DSS compliant processor and don't reach Secrets' servers.[1] If you think a charge is an error, the refund policy requires you to notify [email protected] in writing within 30 days of the statement it appeared on.[7]

How to cancel
- Go to Settings → Manage Subscription, or secrets.ai/subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription and give a brief reason.
- Confirm. Access continues to the end of the billing period, then the account moves to Free with chats, memories and characters preserved.[8]
The terms add that you can also cancel through the payment processor named on your emailed receipt, or by emailing [email protected].[2] Crypto subscriptions can't be resumed after cancelling; you'd buy a new one.[7]

The terms also say microtransaction purchases are final and that you "expressly waive any right to a refund or chargeback except as required by law."[2]
What Secrets AI users report
Public feedback is mixed, and some of it is hard to take at face value. Several long, glowing Reddit "research reports" about Secrets read like marketing, and replies in the same threads promote competitors. We've only summarised specific, first-hand complaints:
- A commenter in r/LocalLLM listed slow replies at peak hours, frequent "Try Again" errors on smartphones, memory that "very often forgets," repetitive replies, and video costs that are "tremendously high."[9]
- A competitor's review blog (Nectar AI, so read it with that in mind) summarises complaints about Moments spent on wrong generations, non-rollover of monthly Moments, inconsistent support, and lag in group chats.[10]
