Search for Kindroid gift codes and you'll find lists of random strings promising free premium. We don't publish those, because Kindroid gift codes don't work that way. They're issued one at a time by paying subscribers, they only work for brand-new accounts, and using one changes which other offers you can get. Here's how the system actually works, from Kindroid's own help center (updated October 6, 2026).

Short answer

A Kindroid gift code gives a new user 14 days free, entered while signing up. Only paid subscribers can issue them (Profile → Referrals → Issue New Gift Code), and each account can redeem one, once. A gift code replaces the 3-day trial and cancels your later 50% returning-subscriber offer. We found no public promo code for existing subscribers.

How Kindroid gift codes work

Kindroid's help center describes gift codes as a way for subscribers to "invite friends directly":[1]

  • Who can issue them: paid subscribers only, "not on a free trial," from Profile → Referrals → Issue New Gift Code under Invite friends.
  • What they give: "14 days free" for a new user who enters the code while signing up.
  • Limits: up to 5 unused codes at a time. If 5 codes have been claimed in the last 30 days, the subscriber has to wait before issuing another.
  • Who can redeem: only users "who are eligible for trial (new users) and haven't paid before, and therefore once per account."

The catch: you only get one free period

This is the part most "free code" pages leave out. Kindroid's subscriptions article says: "A gift from a friend counts as your free trial. If you redeem a gift code, you can't also start the 3-day trial, and you won't get the 50% returning subscriber offer later."[2]

Until you start paying, gifted users also can't post or comment on Kindroid Social or share Kindroids.[2] And starting a trial or subscription "ends the new account preview permanently."[2]

So which should you choose? If you can get a code, 14 days beats 3 days for deciding whether Kindroid is for you. Just know that if you later subscribe and then lapse, you won't get the 50%-off comeback offer.

Legacy Kindroid subscription codes

Some older accounts have a View subscription codes link under Profile → Referrals. Kindroid says each of these "gives one free month on web, works once, and can be shared for free," used during web checkout.[1] In regions where the web free trial isn't offered, Kindroid says to email [email protected], and support can exchange a valid code for gifted subscription months, which then show as "Gift from Kindroid" in Billing.[2]

Kindroid warns to tap Hide only after a code has been used, "because hiding can't be undone."[1]

Other real ways to pay less for Kindroid

  1. Buy on the web. Kindroid says prices are "slightly lower for web due to lower processing fees compared to app stores."[2] On the US App Store, the standard plan is $15.99 a month, $42.99 for 3 months or $159.99 a year.[3]
  2. Pay longer. The yearly plan is the cheapest per month: on the App Store, $159.99 a year works out to about $13.33 a month versus $15.99 monthly.[3]
  3. The returning offer. The first time your trial or subscription lapses, you "may be offered 50% off your first month" when you resubscribe, once.[2]
  4. "Pay direct on web" in the US apps. If your store account is set to the US, the apps may offer checkout in your browser at web prices.[2]
Legacy prices don't come back

If you're on an older early-adopter price, fix any failed payment quickly. Kindroid says once that subscription expires, "you can't resubscribe at the old price."[2]

What code givers get

When a new user signs up with your code or shared Kindroid and then pays, you earn 1 referral credit, exchangeable for 4 Kindroid slots, 100 standard selfies or 75,000 paid audio characters. Credits are only awarded when the new user first spends money, and only the first referrer gets credit.[1]

Kindroid codes to avoid

  • Sold codes or credits. Kindroid says "selling referral credits is strictly prohibited and can lead to scams," and bans accounts that do it, forfeiting their credits.[1]
  • "Kindroid mod APK premium unlocked." Subscription status lives on Kindroid's servers and is linked to your login, not your device.[2] An APK can't change that; it can only put malware on your phone.
  • Code lists on coupon sites. Gift codes are single-use and tied to a subscriber's quota, so a public list is almost certainly used up or fake.

What happens when the 14 days end

If you don't subscribe, your account becomes read-only. You can still view, play back, export and delete everything; your Kindroids, memories and chats are kept, but you can't send messages or make calls.[2] If you do subscribe during the gift, the paid plan takes over immediately and the gift's leftover days aren't added on.[2]

Refunds are rare: Kindroid says it "generally" doesn't offer them, considers them case by case, and may permanently ban users who dispute charges.[2] Want to compare first? See how Kindroid stacks up in our best Replika alternatives and Candy AI alternatives.

Frequently asked questions

What does a Kindroid gift code give you?

Kindroid's help center says each gift code gives a new user 14 days free when entered while signing up. It only works for users who are eligible for a trial and have never paid, so it can be used once per account.

How do I get a free Kindroid gift code?

Ask a friend who is a paid Kindroid subscriber (not on a free trial). They can issue one from Profile > Referrals > Issue New Gift Code. Each subscriber can hold up to 5 unused codes at a time.

Are there Kindroid promo codes for existing users?

We found no public promo code for existing subscribers. The official discounts are a one-time 50% off your first month when you resubscribe after your first lapse, and lower prices when you buy on the web instead of an app store.

Can I use a gift code and the 3-day trial?

No. Kindroid says a gift from a friend counts as your free trial. If you redeem a gift code you can't also start the 3-day trial, and you won't get the 50% returning-subscriber offer later.

What are Kindroid subscription codes?

Legacy subscription codes appear in some older accounts under Profile > Referrals > View subscription codes. Each gives one free month on the web, works once and can be shared. Where the web trial isn't offered, support at [email protected] can exchange a valid code for gifted months.

Is it safe to buy Kindroid codes or referral credits?

No. Kindroid prohibits selling referral credits, says it can lead to scams, and bans accounts caught doing it. Gift codes are free from subscribers, so there is no reason to pay a stranger for one.
