CrushOn AI is one of the better-known unfiltered character chat sites: you pick or build a character and roleplay with it, including adult scenarios once you've passed its age check. If you're asking is CrushOn AI safe, you're really asking three things: who's behind it, what happens to what you type, and whether your money is safe. We read its current terms of use, privacy policy and user reviews to answer each one. Last checked Oct 2026.
It's a legitimate business, but not a private one. CrushOn is run by TECHIEPIE LTD, a company registered in Cyprus. Its privacy policy says it may use your chats to train AI models, and its terms give it a perpetual, irrevocable, transferable licence to what you submit. Purchases are non-refundable except where its policy or the law requires. Trustpilot reviewers rate it 1.8 out of 5 (22 reviews), with complaints about billing support and the paid age check.

Who runs CrushOn AI?
Unlike some sites in this category, CrushOn names its operator. The terms of use and site footer identify TECHIEPIE LTD, with two addresses: a registered office at Strovolou 77, Strovolos Center, Flat/Office 301, 2018 Nicosia, Cyprus, and a US address at 8 The Green, Ste A, Dover, Delaware 19901.[1] The terms list a phone number (302-722-1830) and [email protected] as contacts.[1]
| Question | What the documents say |
|---|---|
| Operator | TECHIEPIE LTD (Nicosia, Cyprus) |
| US address | 8 The Green, Ste A, Dover, DE 19901 |
| Minimum age | 18 and the age of majority where you live |
| Terms last modified | September 22, 2026 |
| Privacy policy last modified | March 6, 2025 |
| Class actions | Terms include a class action waiver |
| Payment tokenisation | Basis Theory (third-party provider) |
| Official iOS app | None found under TECHIEPIE in the US App Store (Oct 7, 2026) |
The terms require you to affirm that you are "at least 18 years of age and have reached the age of majority in Your jurisdiction."[1] They also contain a class action waiver, so disputes generally have to be brought individually.[1]
A US App Store search for "CrushOn" on Oct 7, 2026 returned apps from other developers with similar names (for example "Crushmash: Crush On AI Chat"), but none published by TECHIEPIE LTD.[5] If you want CrushOn itself, use the crushon.ai website.
Does CrushOn AI read or use your chats?
Yes, in the sense that matters most. The privacy policy covers chats directly:
We use this Personal Information to facilitate your chat experience, help ensure the safety and appropriateness of content, and for our Business Purposes. We may use User Content from character chats to train AI models.
Elsewhere the same policy offers a narrower promise: "For all contents generated from the chat, we will only use such contents in a general way for training our models and we will not link chat contents to specific users."[2] Characters you create can also be used "to train AI models."[2]
Other points from the privacy policy worth knowing:[2]
- Advertising: it uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager "for remarketing and behavioral targeting," and on the mobile app, third-party ad SDKs may collect device IDs, IP addresses and ad-interaction data.
- Payment data: "We do not store your Financial Data." Card tokenisation is handled by Basis Theory, per the terms.
- Retention: there's no fixed retention period. Data is kept "for so long as it is reasonably necessary" or as required by law.
- Where data goes: "We operate in the United States," and data may also be transferred to vendors in other jurisdictions.
- Business sale: personal information may be transferred in a merger, acquisition or asset sale.
Free accounts have another wrinkle. CrushOn's pricing page text says that on the free tier, "Chat History will be deleted after 7 days of inactivity."[3] That's the visible chat history in your account; it doesn't tell you whether the company keeps copies for training or moderation.
Who owns what you write on CrushOn?
You keep ownership, but you grant CrushOn very broad rights. The terms say that by submitting content you give the company a "worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicenseable (through multiple tiers) and transferable license" to use, reproduce, distribute, "offer to sell, sell, and otherwise transfer and exploit" your User Submissions.[1]
That's broader than many competitors. In practice it means characters, prompts and other content you submit can keep being used even after you leave, and the licence can pass to a buyer of the business.
The $0.99 age verification, explained
Mature content on CrushOn sits behind an age check. The site's own interface text describes several methods:[3]
| Method | Cost | What CrushOn's site says |
|---|---|---|
| Selfie (via Didit) | Free | "Takes seconds, no document needed." If the selfie can't confirm your age, you're asked for ID. |
| ID document (via Didit) | Free | "Didit reads only your date of birth." Photo or ID "deleted right after your check." |
| AgeGo | Free | "Does not include the benefits package." |
| Payment verification | $0.99 | Credits 60 Diamonds, 300 Coins and a 5-day Standard membership trial. |
The paid option is the one users complain about. On Trustpilot, several reviewers in July and August 2026 said CrushOn asked for full card details and a $0.99 charge to unlock the 18+ toggle; one called it "a paywall" rather than age verification.[4] Those reviews are individual accounts. CrushOn's current site text shows free selfie, ID and AgeGo routes as well, so if you don't want to enter a card, look for "Use other methods" on the verification screen. Unverified We haven't confirmed whether the free routes are offered to every user in every country.
CrushOn AI pricing, billing and refunds
CrushOn's terms say "The basic Service is free to use for customers and message credits can be purchased."[1] Its pricing page lists paid tiers named Standard, Premium, Deluxe and Luxe.[3]
| Plan | What CrushOn says it includes | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 8K memory; shared capacity (slower at peak times); Ultra models unavailable; chat history deleted after 7 days of inactivity | $0 |
| Standard / Premium / Deluxe / Luxe | Access to 16K-memory models, group chat, adjustable message length, credits for Pro and Ultra models (amounts differ by tier) | Unverified |
The billing rules are clear, and strict:[1]
- Subscriptions renew monthly, charged in advance on the same calendar day.
- Usage fees are non-refundable except as provided in the refund policy or required by law.
- Message credits, Diamonds and other virtual items are final, with the same exceptions.
- No partial refunds for unused time, mid-cycle cancellations or downgrades.
- If paid creator content isn't supplied or differs materially from its description, CrushOn says it will restore access or provide a refund or re-credit.
- Subscription questions are handled via a Discord ticket.
If you're in the EU or UK, the terms say they don't limit "any mandatory refund, withdrawal or other consumer remedy."[1]
What CrushOn AI users report
CrushOn's Trustpilot profile had a 1.8 out of 5 TrustScore from 22 reviews on Oct 7, 2026, with 21 posted in the last 12 months. 91% were one-star, 9% two-star, and none were three stars or higher. The profile is unclaimed, and Trustpilot notes the company hasn't invited reviews, so the sample is small and skews toward people with problems.[4]
| Theme | What reviewers said (Trustpilot, Jul to Sep 2026) |
|---|---|
| Paid age check | Multiple reviewers objected to the $0.99 card payment to unlock adult content. |
| Billing support | One subscriber said a renewal charged them but dropped them to the free tier, and that Discord moderators offered a subscription extension instead of a refund after days of back-and-forth. |
| Filters | Some reviewers reported NSFW or self-harm refusals in roleplay they considered harmless. |
| Character quality | A few said characters felt generic or repetitive. |
For context, on the same day Trustpilot showed SpicyChat at 2.1 (61 reviews), Janitor AI at 2.8 (31) and Kindroid at 2.4 (18).[4] Low scores are common across this category. We'll add a Reddit summary with links after reviewing threads in full.
How to cancel and delete your CrushOn account
- Cancel the subscription first. Go to Profile → My Subscription → Manage → Cancel Subscription. Do it before your next billing date; access stays active until the end of the current cycle.[1]
- Request account closure. The privacy policy says: "To close your account, please email us at [email protected]."[2]
- Exercise data rights. Access, correction or deletion requests go to the same address, and CrushOn may ask you to prove you control the account's email.[2]
- Keep records. Save the cancellation confirmation and your email to support in case you need to dispute a later charge.
Safer use checklist
- Sign up with an email address that doesn't contain your real name.
- Don't type real names, addresses, workplaces or photos of real people into chats or characters.
- Pick a free age-verification method if you don't want to enter card details.
- Set a calendar reminder a few days before renewal if you subscribe.
- Assume anything you write may be kept and used for training.
